FAQ's
Q: Where to park when visiting Norwich Playhouse?
A: There are no available parking spaces directly outside the Playhouse. There are three car parks in the immediate vicinity – St Andrew’s multi-storey, the Monastery car park (behind the NUCA building, off Elm Hill) and Colgate car park. The theatre has a drop-off point in front of the main doors with two disabled parking spaces for badge holders next to the venue.
Q: How do I book tickets for a show
A: Click here to book tickets for a show
Q: Are interval drinks or ice creams available?

A: Interval drinks are available from the Playhouse Bar. Place your interval order with the bar before the start of the performance, you will be asked to pay for it then and be told a number which corresponds to the numbered drinks shelf in the main foyer. In the interval your drinks and the order receipt will be placed next to the corresponding number. If in doubt please ask any member of bar staff or the Duty Manager for the show who will be able to help.

We sell ice-creams in the foyer for selected shows, and there is always a selection of sweets and snacks available in the bar.

Q: Can we take drinks or food into the show?
A: Comedy nights are the only shows that allow drinks to be consumed in the auditorium – in plastic glasses only. When ice-creams are on sale they may also be taken to your seat. There is no food or drink allowed in the auditorium for any other performances.
Q: I am late for the show – can I still get in?
A: We regret latecomers may not be allowed into the auditorium until a suitable break in the performance. If you know you are going to be late please ring the Duty Manager on 01603 612 580 if possible so they will have a better chance of letting you into to the show whilst minimising the disruption to the audience.
Q: I can no longer attend a show I have bought tickets for – can I get an exchange or refund?

A: You may be able to exchange your ticket or make it available for resale - our policy varies slightly depending on which box office you purchased your tickets from.

THEATRE ROYAL BOX OFFICE
You may exchange your tickets up until 7 days before the show you have booked for. After this point your tickets will be offered for sale to other customers, and if they are sold you will be refunded the price of your tickets, less a handling charge of £2 per ticket.

UEA BOX OFFICE
Your tickets will be offered for resale to other customers, and if they are sold you will be refunded the price of your tickets
NB Your £1.50 booking fee cannot be refunded

Please be aware that tickets offered for resale may not necessarily be sold on to another customer. If a show is not sold out, the remaining tickets held by the box office will be sold first.

Refunds are only available in the event of a show being cancelled.
