Try Before You Buy: Chris Addison is on TV!

Blog posted: 20 September 2011

Chris Addison will be coming to the Playhouse this December with his brand new live show, “The Time Is Now, Again”.

If you need a reminder of just how funny he is, Chris will be regularly gracing our TV screens this autumn, and not just in those insurance ads…

As the we new signing for Team Mock The Week (BBC2, Thursdays) Chris passed an intensive – and intrusive – medical at the programme’s secret London training base yesterday and, after agreeing a permanent contract for an undisclosed fee, is now set to line up alongside established galacticos Dara O Briain, Hugh Dennis and Andy Parsons for the next six episodes and the Christmas special.

You can also catch Chris at the helm of a brand new eight part comedy series for E4, Show and Tell, which will celebrate the art of story telling and stand-up, while introducing some of the most exciting faces from a new generation of comedy talent. The series will air on Thursday nights at 10.30pm – handily right after Mock The Week.

You can book tickets to see Chris live by clicking HERE, or calling our Box Office on 01603 598598

Guests for Hardeep Singh Kohli’s Chat Masala

Blog posted: 13 September 2011

This Friday, prepare to have your funny bone, olfactory nerve AND taste buds stimulated by Hardeep Singh Kohli’s unique show CHAT MASALA. Hardeep (a Celebrity Masterchef finalist) will be cooking curry live on stage, in between interviewing five guests who are involved in the cultural life of Norwich.

The affable, turban-clad Glaswegian will be chatting to Susie Fowler-Watt and Alex Dunlop, the husband and wife presenters of BBC Look East; Marcus Patteson, the director of Norfolk and Norwich Community Arts and samba-folk-rock fusion musician; Emily Barclay, wine merchant and founder of the Norwich Wine Festival; and comedian Andre Vincent, Marcus Brigstocke’s partner in crime from BBC4’s The Late Edition and its live cousin The Early Edition, not to mention frequent cast member of the Norwich Theatre Royal’s annual pantomime!

Be amused! Be charmed! Eat curry!
