NEW SHOWS AHOY!

Blog posted:23 November 2009

Our spring 2010 season is here, jam-packed with amazing comedy, dance, drama and music shows for you to enjoy. Check out our WHAT’S ON page to browse through the upcoming shows.

Comedy highlights include shows from TIM VINE (puns), CHRIS ADDISON (satire), DAVID O’DOHERTY (music), LUCY PORTER (unbridled loveliness) and RICHARD HERRING (moustache based social commentary).

You can enjoy the sounds of a capella music as you’ve never heard it before from THE MAGNETS, classic jazz from STACEY KENT, or alternative cabaret tunes from THE TIGER LILLIES.

If you want to see something just a bit out of the ordinary, try ONE MAN LORD OF THE RINGS, the atmospheric and chilling ERNEST AND THE PALE MOON (our pick of the 2009 Edinburgh Fringe), or RUBY WAX in the semi-autobiographical comedy-drama LOSING IT.

Oh, and keep an eye open for our new (blue) brochure which covers January to May 2010, out now at a bar/shop/tourist information centre/doormat near you!

As I said, blue.

Follow Australian comic Sammy J and puppeteer Heath McIvor deep into The Forest of Dreams, and meet sarcastic enchanted flora, a sexually depraved monarch and some weird blue-headed thing.

Avenue Q meets Disney on a very very dark night in “Sammy J in the Forest of Dreams”, a comedy musical with a cast of foul-mouthed puppets with minds of their own.

This epic comic fairytale was the surprise hit of the Edinburgh Fringe 2008, with 15 extra shows scheduled in at the last minute on top of their month-long run.

Watch the show with us on Saturday 26 September, click here to book or for more info…
