NEW SHOWS AHOY!

Blog posted:23 November 2009

Our spring 2010 season is here, jam-packed with amazing comedy, dance, drama and music shows for you to enjoy. Check out our WHAT’S ON page to browse through the upcoming shows.

Comedy highlights include shows from TIM VINE (puns), CHRIS ADDISON (satire), DAVID O’DOHERTY (music), LUCY PORTER (unbridled loveliness) and RICHARD HERRING (moustache based social commentary).

You can enjoy the sounds of a capella music as you’ve never heard it before from THE MAGNETS, classic jazz from STACEY KENT, or alternative cabaret tunes from THE TIGER LILLIES.

If you want to see something just a bit out of the ordinary, try ONE MAN LORD OF THE RINGS, the atmospheric and chilling ERNEST AND THE PALE MOON (our pick of the 2009 Edinburgh Fringe), or RUBY WAX in the semi-autobiographical comedy-drama LOSING IT.

Oh, and keep an eye open for our new (blue) brochure which covers January to May 2010, out now at a bar/shop/tourist information centre/doormat near you!

As I said, blue.

David Clayton and Becky Betts

David Clayton and Becky Betts

It has become the biggest radio programme in Norfolk and now the Treasure Quest team miraculously find their way to the Playhouse stage for an evening of interactive fun and frolics!

Presenters David Clayton and Becky Betts reveal the hidden secrets of Treasure Quest and why it is Becky can’t understand simple map directions and David can’t actually unfold the map successfully ! “Navigator Ian” will also be there along with the promise that the identity of the devious Questmaster will be revealed.

Be prepared for some of the programme’s hilarious but slightly naughty bloopers and some surprises the programme team know nothing about. If you love the programme and can’t turn it off come and share the addiction with a Playhouse full of like-minded listeners – and it’s all for charity, Children In Need.

Tickets are selling like crazy for the two shows. They are at 3.30pm and 7.30pm on Saturday 21 November, so call the Box Office now on 01603 598 598 for a chance to join in the fun. You can alos book online and choose your own seats…
